If you are interested in becoming good at hip hop, we have the right class for you. Hip hop power dance will give you the skills to become better with your rhythm and, thus, your dance movements. Hip Hop requires a lot of listening, you don’t have to be too serious about it, let your body feel the rhythm, and you will get better. Also, your ear will improve at understanding the music beats, so your body will respond better to the beat. At Bella Diva, we have many different classes, one of which is hip hop power dance. We teach you the movements, the rhythm, and also give you a background of its culture and origin.

Hip Hop Roots

Hip Hop began in the mid-1970s by African-American, Latino-American, and Caribean-American people in the Bronx of New York City. It became popular in block parties in this area, and gangs formed to play and invent this type of music. Hip Hop consists of nine elements, but four major ones need to be well recognized. DJing, which is making music with record players and DJ mixes, graffitis, rapping and breakdancing. Today, Hip Hop has spread globally, and it is part of all cultures. We see it in movies, we hear it at parties, people take dance lessons to learn it and even perform it. So it is part of our everyday life no matter where you are. Many listen to it in the car, at the gym, parties, and movies.

Why Should You Try a Dance Class?

Since we have Hip Hop in basically our every day lives, you should learn the culture, music, rhythm, and dance styles. It is something that can help you healthwise since you will be dancing, and dancing improves your overall physical and mental health.
