Tahitian dance (hot hula fitness) is a beautiful dance art coming from Tahiti, French Polynesia, an island located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, about six hours flight from Hawaii. Students can expect to get a great core and lower body workout from this traditional Polynesian island dance!

April Johnson is a proud Air Force brat which has taken her to random places in the world from Nebraska to Japan. Most of her youth was spent in Oahu, Hawaii before settling down in Colorado. She was an active child, doing everything from gymnastics, softball, volleyball, track even football with the boys in her neighborhood. In high school she would be introduced to hip hop dance and did anything she could to be a part of this movement from
forming a drill team with fellow classmates, to performing with a local rap group at the military clubs and shopping centers. Now as a web developer and a mom, she spends considerable time seated at a desk or in a crowd cheering her family on in their ventures. Bella Diva was just the solution to get this working mom back to her thriving, happy, active self. Hot Hula Fitness she adapted to quickly as it brought her back to her youth. She did not
hesitate to accept the invitation to go through the Hot Hula Fitness certification training and is excited to now be in position to bring her love and history with the Polynesian people and culture to the Bella Diva community! Don’t be surprised to see her performing at a show
and/or participating in… well, any of the other classes Bella Diva offers as her love for world dance is insurmountable!
