5 Exotic Dances from Around the World
Seeing different cultures come together through dance is an exciting thing. The world dances, and it dances not just to have fun, but to show their roots and tell stories of who they are. There are many incredible dances around the world. These are 5 of the most exotic ones:
Tango
This world-famous dance from Argentina is always a crowd-pleaser. Tango is influenced by the Native American, African and European cultures. Although there are many styles of tango, they have intricate footwork, complex figures, and sensuality in common. Some styles are danced in a close embrace while others in open embrace. Its popularity started to rise in the 20th century when various dancers and musicians from Argentina decided to visit Europe and the US.
Samba
Samba, both music, and dance are incredibly rich. The dance itself is from African origins, and it was introduced to Brazil in 1917. There are several different styles of Samba, however, no one dance has been claimed to be the original one. Samba no pé is a solo dance and it’s the most popular samba style around the world. Samba de Gafieira, Samba Pagode, Samba, Axé, and Samba Reggae are some of the other types of Samba.

Each one makes you feel like you’re in paradise.
Zulu
This South African style of dance is definitely one of the most exotic ones. Traditionally, it is performed at Zulu ceremonies, along with singing and the beating of drums, The attire includes grass skirts and shorts for the women and men. The movements are quick and rough, and they involve lifting the legs above the head several times.
Bachata
Bachata is a sexy, Latin American dance that’s done with a partner. It originated in the Dominican Republic and it goes frontward to back, instead of side to side, like other Latin American dances. It’s a slower type of dance in comparison to salsa or merengue.
