Bem-vinda to the exciting world of Samba! In this introductory course students spend time learning the basics of samba no pé, in the "passista" style from Rio de Janeiro. Students will also spend time developing timing, footwork, body movements, arm styling, improv, & musicality, all while honoring the roots of Brazilian dance and its culture.

In this class, students will be introduced to beginner level techniques of fusion belly dance learning the foundational roots of Egyptian folkloric and Raqs Sharqi movements and then combining these techniques with a fusion of dance forms derived from different cultures and time periods including hip-hop, contemporary, and classical Indian dance styles.
