Tips for a great dance audition

Rest is Best

Although it’s normal to be anxious the night before, make sure you get enough sleep. Take a hot bath, drink some tea, read a book – whatever gets you relaxed so you can catch some Zs and wake up energized.

Fuel Your Body

We know those butterflies can shut down your stomach, but it still is very important for you to eat a good breakfast. Make smart food choices and try to eat it early enough so that you don’t feel heavy when you arrive for your audition. Don’t forget to bring some snacks!

Early Bird

Make sure you arrive with time to spare so you have a chance to warm up properly before they call you in. This will also give you ease of mind. You don’t want the stress of being late to get in the way of your dancing.

Do You!

The most important thing to remember is to be yourself. Don’t worry so much about what other dancers are doing. Let your personality shine through, dance your heart out, and HAVE FUN!
