The Denver Zoo will be celebrating all things South American with keeper talks, activity stations, and live entertainment. Don’t miss out on this Spring Break staycation to South America!
When: Wednesday, April 6th 11:00am-12:00 pm & Thursday, April 7th 11:00am-12:00pm at the Tropical Discovery Plaza, where the Bella Diva Samba dancers will perform and give free lessons!

A Quick Look at Denver Zoo
Founded in 1918, the Denver Zoo is a leader in animal care and visitor experience.
A special gift to the mayor of Denver started all when a black bear cub came to live at City Park. With the opening of Bear Mountain in 1918, Denver Zoo became the first American institution to benefit from Carl Hagenbeck’s revolutionary zoo concept; that people should see animals at eye level in natural habitats without bars or fences. This ground-breaking exhibit features artificial rock formations produced using plaster casts from natural cliffs near Morrison, Colorado and is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
