From a young age, Cassidy aspired to be a circus performer, so she traveled to Vermont to attend Circus Smirkus camp when she was eight. She returned to Circus Smirkus camp each summer and also began circus training at local studios when she was nine. She learned about Bella Diva Dance from Caitlin Brozna-Smith, who was also her figure skating coach. In addition to taking classes and workshops with Bella Diva Dance, Cassidy trains at Aerial Cirque Over Denver, Miraas Circus Arts and MOTH Contemporary Circus Center. She first performed with Bella Diva Dance as a guest performer in 2012 at the age of eleven and has since performed with Bella Diva Dance at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, Taste of Colorado and Denver PrideFest. She has also performed at private events and at student shows with Aerial Cirque Over Denver and Miraas Circus Arts.
Cassidy hopes to continue training and performing circus arts throughout her life and would eventually like to become a holistic circus therapist and use circus to help people develop fine and gross motor coordination and other life skills.
